2010 Lexus HS 250h
The new Lexus HS 250h was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show. The Lexus HS 250h is a first dedicated hybrid model as well as the first to future a four-cylinder gas engine. The two front-wheel drive saloons share many design cues like the small, triangular shaped extension of the front window as well as the overall shape of the car.

Power comes from Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive system mated to Lexus’ first four-cylinder gas engine, a 2.4-liter Atkinson-cycle unit, for a total output of 187 HP. As you may have already guessed, power is driven to the front wheels through an electronically controlled continiouslt variable transmission (CVT).

Lexus RX400hs Limited Edition
Lexus unveiled its Limited Edition and Executive Limited Edition of its RX400hs model. Beginning with the RX 400h Limited Edition that costs £35,995, it comes with luxury features including leather upholstery, heated electrically adjustable front seats, and the Lexus Multimedia system .
The RX400h Executive Limited Edition which is priced at £37,995, extends the standard equipment specification with electric tilt and slide sunroof, electrically adjustable steering wheel, memory settings for the driver’s seat, steering wheel and door mirrors, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, entry lighting system and a power tailgate.
Both new RX 400h special editions come with a two-year/20,000-mile servicing package. Included in the on-the-road price, this covers all routine vehicle servicing during the stated period, with a customer value of around £360.
2010 Lexus RX SUV
Look at hte spy photos of a new 2010 Lexus RX SUV, that has been snapshoted with a camera phone The new Lexus’s SUV look as a blink-and-miss-it evolutionary styling. The interior has been completely revised featuring a more contemporary design. There’s also talk about a 7-passenger, long-wheelbase version but this is something has not been officially confirmed.
Tech details are also thin on the ground, but the Japanese-market brochure makes word of the RX350 and the RX450h meaning that the latter may get a more powerful V6-hybrid drivetrain than the current RX400h.
The third-generation Lexus RX will break cover at the forthcoming Los Angeles Auto Show on 21 November with sales set to commence in the first half of 2009.
2009 Lexus IS Facelift
Lexus, Toyota’s luxury brand, has shared photos of the facelifted IS. The Lexus IS styling revisions are limited to a slightly tweaked front grille, restyled tail lamp crystals featuring L-shaped back-up lights, redesigned exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals and new alloy wheel designs. The 2009 Lexus IS will also get new exterior and interior color combinations along with a revised electronic stability control system. Lexus IS Convertible
Lexus plans to arrive to the U.S. market with the first IS-F Convertible on next year. A diesel IS-F model has not yet been ruled out but Lexus has confirmed that it will not produce a drop-top 416-hp IS-F.
The Lexus IS Convertible will have a folding fully electric hardtop roof like the SC with an IS250 C and the IS 350 C badging on the back. The Japanese automaker says that it just doesn’t make business sense for it to offer a convertible IS-F.
Lexus no plans to build a GS-F – a high performance version of its GS mid-sized sedan. However, a lightweight IS-F is in the works. The model is currently undergoing testing and engineers have applied a lot of weight-saving techniques to the model.
Lexus LS 460
Lexus unveil its brand-new LS 460 at the Moscow Motor Show on 26 August 2008.
The new Lexus LS 460 will have sure-footed dynamic abilities as well as advanced active safety systems further strengthened a result of the addition of permanent all-wheel drive.
The new all-wheel drive system will have three different settings delivered by the impressive Torsen Limited Slip Differential. Which will distribute the drive torque between the front and rear axles with a 40:60 rear axle bias in torque distribution.
The Lexus LS 460 AWD will go on sale early next year.
Lexus Pebble Beach Edition LS 600h
Lexus has introduced the LS 600h L Pebble Beach Edition at the Concours d’Elegance classic car show in California. The limited production Pebble Beach Edition LS 600h L gets a unique exterior and interior colour combination with a Truffle Mica exterior paint combined with a two-tone Alabaster and Black leather trim interior with Dark Grey Bird’s-eye maple wood trim. Additional styling cues include new 19-inch, five-spoke alloys, Pebble Beach interior badging, premium black floor mats with stainless steel badging, and blue illuminated scuff plates.
The 2009 LS 600h L Pebble Beach Edition will go on sale in the States in September 2008.
Next generation Lexus SC430 canceled
Bed news: Toyota has canceled the next generation Lexus SC430 Coupe. The reason for the cancelation of the SC series is poor sales as through the first six months of this year, Lexus sold only 1,230 SC’s, down more than 40% from last year and since Lexus is developing a production version of the LF-A super coupe, what’s the point of keeping the SC430?. Good news: Lexus plans to introduce the high-end LF-A supercar in 2009 or 2010.
Wald Lexus IS-F
Wald International, the Japanese tuner company, has introduced a tuning program for the Lexus IS-F.
The Wald is offering an aggressive exterior package that completely revamps the performance car’s appearance. Large front intakes and a dual lower splitter help give the sporty IS-F sedan a look fit for the track.
The package is completed by Wald’s air vents behind the rear wheels, a custom rear diffuser and rear wing. The extractor behind the front wheels perfectly blends with the side skirts to help give the IS-F a new style to match its horsepower.
Lexus LF-A Engine
Look at the first shot of the Lexus LF-A engine. The engineer’s only opened the hood at the Nurburgring 24 for a moment but we got the spy shot. The engine looks long enough to likely be a V10 as has been previously postulated. The bank angle appears to be 90 degrees for a lower center of gravity than would be available from the normal 72-degree bank angle for a V10. The intake plenum is apparently made up of a composite material, again, likely for both overall weight reduction and and lowering the CG.
