Lexus LF-Ch concept

Lexus released a first photo of its new LF-Ch hybrid concept. The new LF-Ch hatchback is quite a looker. Unfortunately, the body style is likely to be a Europe-only thing, where the eventual production version will cross swords with the likes of premium-compact rivals like the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series. This has a lot more visual appeal than the Lexus HS250h we get in these here parts.

The 2010 HS 250h, the first hybrid from Lexus, will arrive at U.S. dealerships in August. Prices for new Lexus HS 250h will starts at $34,200 for the base and $36,970 for the Premium version. Standard features include leather-trimmed seats, a 10-speaker, 137-watt audio system with a CD changer, 17-inch alloys and 10 airbags.

The Lexus HS 250h Premium version equipped with heated/ventilated front seats trimmed in semi-aniline leather, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing windshield and genuine wood interior, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, outside mirrors and individual air conditioning settings.

Good news for Lexus fans: Lexus will reveal a sportier version of its LS 460 sedan at the Tokyo Motor Show in October. The LS 460 SZ will carry the SZ moniker and that it will feature a subtle aerokit that includes a new grille treatment plus uprated Brembo brakes and BBS alloy wheels shod in chunkier tires. The Lexus LS 460 SZ is estimated to cost in Japan around to $100,000.

Lexus LF-A V10 Production Limited to 500 Units

Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus is planning to reveal the production version of the LF-A supercar at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show in October. The LF-A’s production will be limited to a 500 units, with 120 of those for domestic market with an estimated starting price of around $310,000.

The GT500 version will be powered by a high-revving 5.0-liter V10 producing an estimated 500HP, while the SS550 is said to get a tweaked version of the V10 with a displacement of 5.5-liters and an output of around 550HP. Both variants feature a front-mid engined layout with a transaxle housing the semi-automatic gearbox and rear-mounted radiators.

The Lexus claimed that its LF-A V10 supercar would reach a top speed of around 220mph or 354km/h.

The Japanese automaker Lexus reveals LF-A 500HP V10 to the ultimate test by entering two race-spec mules at current Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race. The 200mph+ (321km/h) LF-A hot car are powered by a front-mid mounted V10 engine producing 500HP. The LF-As will be entered by Gazoo Racing.

The team that will tackle the ‘Green Hell’ will be made up of a combination of professional drivers, Toyota test drivers, dealers and a pilot that Lexus refers to as “Morizo” who is none other than Toyota’s soon-to-be CEO Akio Toyoda, the grandson of the firm’s founder.

The new Lexus GX SUV will be launched this autumn. The next-generation GX will receive the 310-hp 4.6-liter V8 engine from the 2010 Tundra, giving it a useful boost over the larger 263-hp 4.7-liter in the current model. The new GX SUV will also benefit from a new interior (including a next-generation navigation system). Additionally, it will sport revised sheetmetal (different sheetmetal than 2009 model pictured above) and body panels including a different rear door assembly.

“The largest SUVs have been hit the hardest, but there’s still a segment of the population that wants those vehicles,” he tells during a media preview for the Lexus HS 250h sedan.

Lexus LF-A caught racing

The new Lexus LF-A’s prototype was caught in testing on the Nürburgring rings in Germany. As we see through camouflage, the new Lexus LF-A can definitely be seen sporting a new front- and rear-end, as well as additional sculpting to its side air intakes found ahead of the rear wheel and between the B- and C-pillars.

The Lexus LF-A production version is rumored to produce over 500 hp from a V10 engine, and the car itself should be capable of over 200 mph. Expected price – around $200,000.

The newest Lexus RX 350 will make its debut at the 75th annual Melbourne Motor Show in Australia. The Melbourne Motor Show runs from 27 February to 9 March at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The 2010 Lexus RX-350 is fitted with an upgraded 3.5-litre petrol V6 engine that develops 204 kW / 275HP and is mated to an electronically controlled, sequential-shift, six-speed transmission which replaces the five-speed automatic of the previous model. Along with the RX 350, the Lexus will also show its LF-A Roadster concept.
