Tony Hawk, which as most of you probably already know, is a professional skateboarder who even has his own series of video games, shot a video of himself performing the jump.

Here’s Lexus’ reaction: “Thanks Tony Hawk for taking the LFA to new heights. We’ll pretend we didn’t see this video skate across our desk. It’s the least we could do to celebrate your birthday. We hope it was as great as you are!”

Lexus has unveiled its LFA Nurburgring Package. Lexus test driver Akira Iida reportedly managed to twist the LFA Nurburgring Edition around the infamous circuit in 7:14. If true, that time puts the carbon-fiber exotic four-seconds ahead of the previous production-car champion, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, at 7:18, and it puts the LFA Nurburgring Edition in the top five quickest vehicles to ever run the track.

Now, if you’re still with us and haven’t used the zoom function for a closer inspection of Miss Ten Haken, in the hands of Rhys Millen, the Japanese firm’s 552-HP, V10 supercar ran -in Lexus’ own words- “multiple high-speed donuts around the model to create the imagery for the sizzling four-page spread.”

Lexus will offer a driver development program for LFA owners that will run from March 8 to 15, in Sonoma, California.

Racing professionals will provide expert guidance during the one-day program, which includes theoretical and track lapping sessions, performance limit exercises and technical demonstrations.

“This program offers a unique opportunity to experience the 552 horsepower Lexus LFA supercar in its natural environment,” said Mark Templin, group vice president and general manager, Lexus Division. “Lapping Infineon and tips from the professional drivers will certainly enhance the overall LFA ownership experience.”

Lexus reports that all 500 copies of the LFA are officially sold out. Lexus hasn’t announced how many LFAs would go to which regions of the world, but an earlier Wall Street Journal report quoted Lexus as saying that Toyota’s luxury arm would hand-pick which perspective buyers would gain the right to own the LFA. Looks like we didn’t make the cut, not that we had the $375k to spend one anyway.

Lexus has published an official details about its special-edition LFA Nürburgring. The new Lexus LFA gets an additional 10 horsepower on tap from the bat-guano V10, nudging the final figure to “more than 562″ horsepower.

The Lexus engineers have worked up a new aero package consisting of front and side spoilers, as well as a landing-deck sized fixed rear wing. And yes, they’re all made of carbon. Lexus has also firmed up the suspension even further, and fitted it with the mesh alloys seen above with “dedicated high-grip tyres.” Uh-huh. Lexus has managed to trim the transmission’s shift times to just 0.15 seconds, officially putting the LFA into the cog-swapping hall of fame.

Lexus has managed to still get the LFA to 62 mph in around 3.7 seconds and net a top speed of 202 mph in spite of the car’s higher downforce. If you want one, you better start bribing people now. The company plans on handing out just 50 examples within the standard LFA production run of 500 units.

Look at the new promotional video of the $375,000 limited production (500 bolids only!) Lexus supercar that was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show today. The rear-wheel drive Lexus LFA hot car is equipped with an all-new 4.8-liter V10 engine with 553 horsepowers. That’s good enough for a zero to 62mph in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 202mph. The Lexus LFA V10 will arrive to showrooms in late 2010.

Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus is planning to reveal the production version of the LF-A supercar at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show in October. The LF-A’s production will be limited to a 500 units, with 120 of those for domestic market with an estimated starting price of around $310,000.

The GT500 version will be powered by a high-revving 5.0-liter V10 producing an estimated 500HP, while the SS550 is said to get a tweaked version of the V10 with a displacement of 5.5-liters and an output of around 550HP. Both variants feature a front-mid engined layout with a transaxle housing the semi-automatic gearbox and rear-mounted radiators.

The Lexus claimed that its LF-A V10 supercar would reach a top speed of around 220mph or 354km/h.

The Japanese automaker Lexus reveals LF-A 500HP V10 to the ultimate test by entering two race-spec mules at current Nurburgring 24-hour endurance race. The 200mph+ (321km/h) LF-A hot car are powered by a front-mid mounted V10 engine producing 500HP. The LF-As will be entered by Gazoo Racing.

The team that will tackle the ‘Green Hell’ will be made up of a combination of professional drivers, Toyota test drivers, dealers and a pilot that Lexus refers to as “Morizo” who is none other than Toyota’s soon-to-be CEO Akio Toyoda, the grandson of the firm’s founder.
